Reselling can become easy once you get the hang of it, and even easier is allowing yourself to branch out and sell on multiple platforms on the internet!

If you want to generate faster sales and grow your reselling business, you need to be on multiple reselling websites.

That’s just how it is. Your products won’t gain exposure by limited websites and minimal social media presence in this day and age.

So I’m going to provide you with a list of selling platforms/websites that all resellers should be using, and you can decide how to branch out your business from there!

You’ve probably heard of a lot of these, and some you already use, which is great! But please do consider that many resellers are on multiple platforms for a reason, and because branching out actually does work to boost sales and profits in the end!

Start Reselling on These Websites Now to Forever Boost Your Resale Business:

(in no particular order).

eBay: Final value fee (12%-15%) % + $0.30 per order

One of the oldest selling platforms in the game, this platform can be the difference of potentially HUNDREDS of dollars in revenue for your reselling business!

With this website, you get a limited amount of free listings (250 free) per month, and they only charge you for when the item sells. They provide different selling options, (auction, buy it now, and best offer) and the ability to ship almost anywhere in the world.

Ebay is a great website to use because they have such a large customer base, and provide so many options for sellers to sell to potential buyers.

Although it is not as user-friendly as other reselling websites, it is worth the frustration to start integrating it into your business.

They also help you adjust to the website by providing selling incentives and item listing limits until you are better equipped with their system of sales.

Also, consider providing auction-style sales with free shipping when you start out, so you can build a seller profile with good reviews. After five or so completed sales, you can adjust the sale type and shipping to your liking!

As of 2021, eBay has started doing in-house payments, instead of going through PayPal for payouts. This is really great for sellers because there are no extra fees taken out of their payments, and eBay provides regular automatic payouts every few weeks!

Pssst… To avoid paying shipping fees, use the free website Pirate Ship to pay for USPS shipping labels! They even have an eBay sales transfer service to make printing labels a breeze!

Facebook Marketplace: The selling fee is 5% per shipment, or a flat fee of $0.40 for shipments of $8.00 or less.

The up-and-coming reselling hero, FBMKP has been stepping it up as a online commercial place!

They have now offered shipping and local pickup for a while now, but the shipping option has become a real winner for my own resale business!

All listings are free to list, and they take out a percentage of each item sold through the platform. (In-person sales are still free!)

Just like eBay, they offer a large audience for your listings, but there is generally an older crowd versus the younger group due to adolescent refusal of Facebook as a social media platform.

Like most reselling platforms, they offer pre-selected weight options with correlating shipping prices for ease when listing and shipping! All prices are reasonable, and I have yet to hear discrepancy from buyers for paying for shipping. (You can choose if seller or buyer pays for shipping too!)

If you have a business page, you can choose which profile to post from: your own personal account or your business page.

There is also the bonus of being able to post to targeted selling/buying groups for specific items! You just have to be accepted into them first.

FBMKP has been a game changer for me, along with eBay, with bringing in additional income that I didn’t realize I could obtain.

FBMKP has come a long way, and continues to change and adapt to help sellers reach buyers. They even offer occasional shipping discounts, and chances to win free money by listing on their platform!

Mercari: 10% sale price + payment processing fee of 2.9%

Another great reselling website, Mercari is like OfferUp, but with shipping! If you can ship it, you can sell it!

I’ve been both a seller and buyer of multiple used items, and it’s one of my preferred retailers for anything and everything!

Free to list unlimited items, Mercari uses a double-rating system that helps weed out the great from the gross! They take out selling fees and processing fees when an item sells, and provide pre-determined size and shipping prices. (Options for either seller or buyer to pay shipping)

One of the best reselling websites for minimal fees! For example, sell an item for $9 +shipping, your net earning is $7.54 after fees!

Unlike other selling websites, you can use automatic price drop to gradually lower prices over time, stopping at a reserve price. This tool is excellent to get lots of eyes on your items!

This website has new users signing up every day, so the possibilities for sales are limitless!

Poshmark: 20% sale price; or sales of $15 or less have a flat sales rate of $2.95

Poshmark was the platform to start it all off for me four years ago…

With an excellent community of buyers and sellers, this platform is perfect for easy use and has a constant influx of potential customers as they have new users signing up every minute!

This app has been actively expanding their selling index, but they are primarily used for selling new and gently used fashion items. Women’s clothing and accessories, men’s clothing and accessories, boys and girls clothing, home items, and pet items are the primary items to be found on this platform.

They have a unique shipping system where they provide a flat-rate shipping for items 5lbs and under for $7.45. The seller can discount this fee to encourage faster sales, but it comes out of the seller’s end profit.

Along with providing a 5lb shipping label, buyers and sellers can create bundles of multiple items and ship them for one shipping fee instead of multiple! More “bang for your buck” on shipping costs!

Listing on Poshmark is free, and listings are unlimited! Their platform is also unique in the social media style sharing options they provide. In order to get your items seen, you must share each post, like Facebook or Twitter! (They also have options to share each listing on social media platforms, customizable by the user).

They also offer the Poshmark Ambassador program, for those who want to strive for an excellent profile! You complete certain tasks on their website, and you’ll earn ambassador status and have access to first-look notifications and the opportunity to earn Poshmark credit by completing certain available social media campaigns! (Most require a social media post with the provided guidelines; payout is generally $10 in Posh-credits, meaning you can only use them in the app/website).

Depop: 10% selling fee + Paypal transaction fee = US, 3.49% + $0.49. (UK 2.9% + £/€0.30)

Depop is great for niche items, and has the buyer availability similar to eBay, depending on what the seller chooses.

Although eBay got away from third-party transactions, Depop still uses Paypal as their primary payment and transaction platform. Which means that there is more fees taken out of your pocket.

Depop has been marketed towards younger generations that want 90s and Y2K fashion items, but all items sell on their platform as long as they are able to be shipped!

Their platform is structured like the social media website Instagram, with emphasis on item photos and follow-and-scroll posting, but with the added intention of selling and ability for buyers to bundle multiple items.

They also provide the ability to use bulk discounts, so you can mark down multiple items easily to get some quick sales!

It might take a while to get started selling or there may be long durations of time in-between sales, but it’s another opportunity to get your items out to potential customers, and listings are free and unlimited until you sell something!

Etsy: $0.20 per listing + 5% sale price

The home to all handmade goods, and a great place to build a selling profile and sell niche items!

They primarily advertise handmade goods, but it’s a great place to sell antique, vintage, and niche items!

There is the initial listing fee of $0.20 per each new listing, but once sold that fee seems liminal. (Make sure to turn-off listing renewal, or else you will be charged another $0.20 if the item gets renewed without you realizing it, and those two dimes an item can add-up!)

It does take some time to get used to the intricate workings of Etsy’s listing format, but with use of bulk-editing tools, managing your store becomes a breeze!

I’ve sold a handful of vintage items, handmade home decor goodies, and vintage/retro fashion earrings since signing up a few months ago! Sales can be slow, but posting new items regularly helps!

Etsy also provides different shipping options, and it is recommended to have free shipping on all items for the beginning duration of starting your shop to help encourage buyers to shop and review your store.

Etsy has in-house shipping and payment options, so fees are minimal and packaging up items is simplified!

Tradesy: Selling fee of $7.50 for sold items less than $50; $50+ has fee of 19.8% of selling price.

Tradesy is the go-to website for reselling authentic designer and luxury items!

With an unlimited amount of free listings, you can post to your heart’s desire!

Excellent platform for people who are trying to sell authentic designer and luxury items while managing their sale price.

They provide free background removal on all item photos, along with free advertising all over the web! (It’s free, but technically comes out of the selling fee as their “commission”).

I’ve sold a handful of clothing items on this platform, and although it is very easy to use, the sales can be slow and if your item is less than $50 it does take a substantial chunk out of your profits! If you’ve got high-end items to sell, this is an excellent place to start listing.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to expanding your reselling business online.

With so many platform/websites to choose, it’s hard not to want to try all of them. Because at the end of the day, the only way you are going to sell your items is to get eyes on your product, and by allowing the internet to boost that possibility with these platforms!

I challenge you to try at least one of the above mentioned platforms, and I bet you’ll see an increase in sales over time!

There is no growth when you stay in your comfort zone, remember that for future business plans…
