Ready to have your mind blown?
Use your hashtags / post tags!
Yea, these thingys:
Super-Fast Way to Engage with Instagram Users to Boost Your Business Profile Using Hashtags!
Want a quick video tutorial? Watch this:
A fool-proof way to get more engagement on your Insta-profile, a step-by-step guide:
1. Use your “targeted audience” hashtags to find “your people”!
For this step, I enjoy the simplicity of choosing a handful of hashtags to follow for the specific day that I post. So, if I use #poshmarkseller the day I post and want to engage with others, I click on that hashtag and enter the subcategory for that hashtag.
What this will do is allow you to see all posts using this hashtag, to which you’ll utilize step two.
2. Scroll down to the “Most Recent” category of the posts.
This section will give you the most current posts, so you aren’t commenting on something that is days, weeks, or months old.
This allows the Insta-algorithm to register the audience engagement for not only your account, but the other account, which is a good thing for making social media buddies!
3. Now, use your tools to like, comment, and follow from each post!
As long as the post is good quality content, and not just screenshots of sale prices, I tend to do all 3 actions to new and existing accounts that I already follow, because I know that they already post content similar to mine, as they use the same hashtags that I do.
Like the post, comment on the photo, the caption, or ask/answer any questions you may have to further engage the original content creator! Notice that engagement is KEY TO THIS METHOD WORKING!
4. Work this method into about 4-10 posts per each hashtag!
You can do whatever method works best for you, but I think having variety and changing up the amount of people you engage with along with changing the hashtags is super important to reach multiples of different people.*
Again, this is all subject to what you prefer to do. You’re in-control of this part of the process!
For me, I pick five hashtags from my most recent post, and engage with about 10 people in each hashtag category. Again, choosing the most recent posts is super important.
*Instagram will prevent you from going crazy on liking, commenting, and following certain people, as it will think you are acting like a bot. That’s why selecting a small amount of engaging tasks to do for each day is ideal.
5. Wait for the profile engagement to roll in!
Sometimes it takes minutes, or hours, but they never fail to bring in likes, comments, and follows to your own profile!
Most Instagram users have the etiquette down for returning the favor on post engagement, so as you have just done for them, they will most certainly do for you! It may be as small as a like on your comment, or go as far as stalking your profile and commenting on every post you’ve made for the past month. It can vary, but it all works the same to get your profile out of an engagement rut!
Not only have I experienced the nicest people on the internet this way, but it can seriously bring your business to the next level to develop these professional connections when you share interests with so many different users and you work together to boost each other up!
I’ve used this method more times than I can count, and it has never failed me!
Just this week, I’d noticed my posts weren’t getting as many likes as normal, so just doing about 20 minutes of this instantly brought my profile insights back to normal!
It’s a quick fix for anyone getting stuck and is willing to share some kind words with new people!
If you use this method, please do revisit this post and comment your experiences, as we would all love to learn from each other!

May your holidays be well for each and every one of you, I will soon be visiting home for a week-long break away from school for Thanksgiving break, and I can’t wait to not actually take a break and continue to work on my blog as I will be away from my shop inventory. But nonetheless, I hope you take some time for yourself in the near future and celebrate the great things in your everyday life. Much love and take care, my lovelies. -Kaitlyn ❤️
